The Blue Ridge Wine & Food Festival is next week, April 13-17. Held in Blowing Rock, NC, this tasty festival began six years ago. In addition to the food sampling, wine tasting, and the exciting Bartender’s Brawl at Canyon’s, there is a nice line up of music. After all, what good is wine and food without a side of music?
- A bluegrass band, Grass Cats, is playing Saturday, April 16th from 12-3pm in the Hayes Center Parking Lot.
- The Charlie Ellis Trio is playing at the Green Park Inn Friday April 15th and Saturday April 16th from 6-10pm.
- Pot Luck will be playing at Canyon’s Saturday April 16 at 10pm.
And if the wine, food, and music still doesn’t do it for you, have some laughs with Chuckleball Friday the 15th at the Hayes Center. This is what the festival’s website had to say about Chuckleball:
Chuckleball is a musical revue that lampoons the foibles, fumbles, and felonies of today’s sports headlines. See impressions and songs mocking everything happening in baseball, football, basketball, hockey, professional wrestling and more!
I’ll leave you with this video to drum up your excitement for a visit to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
